Mildred Moyer, 95 years, born in Akron March 1, 1920 died October 20, 2015
after an extended illness.
She was a member of the Firestone Park United Methodist Church since 1933. Active in the Church Choir, Civic Chorus, Women's LYDIA Circle and AARP. She worked as a bookkeeper for Lucky Furniture, a homemaker and a PTA Mom.
Preceded in death by her parents, John E. and Ella Jeannette Moore; sister, Wilma J. Moore; husbands, John A. Flory (1950) and Harry E. Moyer (1984). She is survived by children, John I. (Alma J.) Flory, Patricia A. Moyer, Scott A. (Lisa) Moyer, James E (Anne) Moyer; grandchildren, Dr. John A. Flory, Brian S. and Michelle C. Moyer, Lindsey E. and Joseph E. Moyer; granddogs, Macleod and Moose. Mildred is also survived by sister, Betty (Richard) Harris and nephews, Rich and Jim (Darlyn) Harris.
The family would like to profoundly thank the staff of Summa Hospice, Summa Palliative Care and the staff of Stow-Glen skilled nursing unit for their compassion and care of mom.
Funeral Services will be held 7 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2015 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home,
788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron., with Rev. Randall May officiating. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation or the Firestone Park United Methodist Church.
