Millard V. Shreiner "Stilt",88, of N. Myrtle Beach, SC went home to be with the Lord June 10, 2017. Before moving to South Carolina Stilt was the owner/operator for the Kenmore Barber Shop. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in Korea, a journeyman carpenter, driver/sales rep for 7 Up and Uniwear and after his retirement in North Myrtle Beach he was a security guard for Barefoot RV. No one was ever a stranger with Stilt. Even with a fifty percent hearing loss from Korean combat duty, he could still sing, hum the old songs, sing in the church choir and play the drums and guitar.
Preceded in death by his parents, Millard V. and Edythe (Matchcatt) Shreiner; she leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Nancy (Unger) Shreiner; children, Thomas (Carol), Debra (David) Swope; grandsons, Scott (Melissa) and Alex (Rachel); granddaughter, Sherry Okolish; great grandchildren, Julia, Brynn, Wesley, Wyatt and Caleb.
Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd Akron. Victory Lodge #649 F.&A.M. will conduct a Masonic service at
11 a.m. followed by funeral services conduct by Pastor Rich Ferris. Burial at Marlboro Cemetery. For those that wish, memorial contributions can be made to the Salvation Army, 190 S. Maple St, Akron, Ohio 44302 or a Charity of your choice
