Richard M. Miller, 76 of Akron went home to be with the Lord, September 20, 2022. He was born October 12,1945 in Akron, Ohio to the late Lloyd and Caroline (nee Salzwimmer) Miller.
He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in the 11th Calvary Unit during Vietnam. He was a graduate of Kenmore High School and worked for the city of Akron for thirty years.
Richard always had a smile on his face and made people laugh everyday. He loved antiques, the Ohio State Buckeys, Cleveland Browns and the Indians/Guardians.
He is survived by his beloved wife of twenty three years, Eileen "Janny" Miller; sons, Mike (Sherry), Chris (Denise); stepson, Frank (Tracey) Bowman; sister Terri Volovar; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Per his wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2022 at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Friends may call one hour prior to service time. Private burial will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later time.
