Robert "Bob" W. Koger, 79 of Akron went home to be with the Lord, July 16, 2022. He was born October 2, 1942 in Akron, Ohio to the late Fred and Ethel (nee Shoults) Koger.

He was a graduate of Kenmore High School and the University of Akron where he received a Bachelor's degree in Education. He pursued a career as a teacher by teaching at the University of Akron and Norton High School. He was a member of Star Lodge #187 (formerly Adoniram-Joppa #517) and previously attended Kenmore Methodist Church and Grace Bible Church in Manchester. He enjoyed playing tennis, attending the Senior Groups in Kenmore, Springfield and Ellett. He also enjoyed attending meetings at the Kenmore Historical Society. While teaching at Norton High School he was also the "Voice" of the Panthers football and basketball games for several years. HIs most recent involvement was with Stewart's Caring Place.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Karen Koger. He is survived by his former wife, Beverly; daughter, Kendra Koger; sister, Kaye (Ray) Schilling; nephews, Brian (Trish), Michael (Ginger) Schilling and John (Laura) Miller; nieces, Jennifer (Colin) Rupp, Kristen Savage, Michelle (Chad) Jordenson.

Friends may call from 10 a.m-1 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2022 at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Star Lodge #187 (formerly Adoniram-Joppa #517) will conduct a Masonic Service will be held at 1 p.m. at the Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held 3 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2022 at Ravenna First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Tracy Ogden-Johnson officiating. Private burial will be held at a later time. For those that wish, memorial contributions in Robert's name can be made to Stewart's Caring Place, 3501 Ridge Park Dr, Fairlawn, Ohio 44333.
