Ronald D Fritz

Ronald D. Fritz, 74, of North Canton went home to be with the Lord, May 3, 2023 after a brave battle with cancer. He was born May 14, 1948 in Akron, Ohio to the late Devon and Almeda (nee Swords).

He was a graduate of Kenmore High School and retired from Goodyear as an accountant. He enjoyed being apart of the Boy Scouts, especially Troop #935 where he once served as the Scoutmaster. He was the recipient of one of scouts highest honors which is the Silver Beaver Award. This award recognizes his involvement in scouts and is given to an individual whose involvement has made an impact on the lives of the scouts in his Troop. He volunteered as a Fire Captain for the Jackson fire department, was an EMT and enjoyed coaching his children's sports teams throughout the years such as soccer, softball and baseball.

He was preceded in death by his in-laws, Bud and Ruth Elliott and grandson, Alex. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty three years, Diane; son Brett (Gretchen); daughter, Jennifer Andreff; brother, Greg (Lynn); grandchildren, Michael, Brayden, Tyler and Breanna; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call from 4-6 p.m Tuesday May 9th, 2023 at Park United Methodist Church, 2308 24th St. SW, Akron, Ohio 44314. A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m at the Church with Pastor Steven Partridge officiating. For those that wish, Memorial contributions in Ronald's name can be made to the church.
