Ruth E (Gudelunas) Singleton

Ruth E. Singleton, 88, of Copley went home to her Lord and Savior, December 19, 2015. Ruth was born October 15, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Mary and Dominic Gudelunas. Ruth moved to Akron in 1944 where she owned and operated her own beauty shop for many years.

She was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God. She was a wonderful mother and a kind generous woman who always tried to be a witness of God's love. Instead of saying "good-bye" she often said "If I don't see you again, I'll see you in Heaven."

A special thank you to her granddaughter, Candice Levine for her care and concern for our mother's comfort during her final illness. And thanks also to Grace Hospice for their kind services.

We will miss you Mom, but we know you are at peace now and we will see you in Heaven one day.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Forest Singleton and her six brothers and four sisters; she has left to mourn, her children, Ruth (Bill) Parfenchuk of North Port, FL, Judy Parks of Copley, Dale Zenner of Brimfield and Tamila Singleton-Beiter (Chris) of Hilo, HI.; beloved grandchildren, Eva Tuersley, Candice Levine, Jennifer (Tony) Cursio, Becky Parks, Amanda (Bob) Wiseman, Charles B.Zenner, Chad Williams and Justin Clegg; great grandchildren, Michael, Andrew, Jasmine and Isaiah.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron with Pastor Mark Hadinger officiating. Burial to follow
at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grace Hospice, 3515 Massillon Rd, Green, OH 44232 or
