Shirley Mae Legg

Shirley M. Legg, 84, of Akron went home to be with the Lord, June 10, 2019. A life resident of the area, Shirley was born May 17, 1935 in Alliance, Ohio to the late Stephen and Alma (Braun) Schneider. Shirley spent 20 plus years at Spagnuolo and associates as an engineer and surveyor and 26 plus years at B&W as a computer drafter. Shirley was a past Unit President and Treasurer for American Legion Auxiliary Post # 209, past 14th District President for ALA and from 2007-2008 she is a "La' Chapeau" for Departmental d' Ohio 8 and 40/Salon 23
Preceded in death by her parents; friend and partner, Jerry Grubb; first husband, Ronald Thrash and ex-husband, Billy Legg and sister, Ruth A. Hawkins. She is survived by her sons, Wayne Thrash of Denver, CO, Darren Legg of Millville, NJ and Stephen (Brooke) Legg of Gulfport, Mississippi; stepson, Robert (Kay) Inman
of Chandler, AZ, adopted daughter, Sharon (Howard “Mike”) McClain; numerous grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Forrest Hawkins of Sandy Valley, NV, Donna J. (Hal) Neely of Merriti Island, FL.
Friends may call from 11-1 Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Auxiliary Post # 209 will conduct a memorial service at 12:30 p.m. followed by Local Summit Salon 165. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
