Terry V Koegel

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Terry V. Koegel, on March 18, 2025, at the age of 79. He was born April 22, 1945, in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, and resided in Akron and Cuyahoga Falls for most of his life.

Terry graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School class of 1963 and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Akron. He worked as a Safety Engineer for various insurance companies, and later in life, he changed careers and worked as a truck driver. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines Corps Reserves. He loved to watch sports and was a huge fan of the Cleveland Guardians. Terry was a friend to everyone he met and always loved a good story. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids who always called him Papa, and he was looking forward to becoming a great grandfather.       

He is survived by his son, Sean Koegel; daughter, Michelle (Ryan) Porter; grandchildren, Alexis (Devan) Benjamin, Jane and Ian; and sister Donna Gran. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Koegel and Francis (nee Reilly) Koegel-Long.      

Per his request, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
