Thomas E. Jackson 12/13/56 – 5/29/14 On May 29th, 2014, the checkered flag waved for Thomas Eugene Jackson of Akron, OH. He was born in Massillon, OH on Dec. 13th, 1956 to the late Leonard "Gene" Jackson and Carolyn "Jean" Wazlavek.

Preceded in death by his sister; Linda (Gary) Randles, cousin Danny Jackson, and good friend Dave Best, in addition to numerous other loved ones. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Barbara; his children, Corey, Kevin and Michelle; his sisters, Mary (Dave) Cook and Connie (Dave) Oplinger; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.

Tom was a loving father, husband, brother and friend. He was a huge fan of racing, fishing, reading, travelling and Westerns. He successfully owned and operated Jackson Remodeling for 15 years before retiring in 2008. He was a proud member of AA for 17 years.

Friends may call from 5-8 pm Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd Akron. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 12 Noon with Rev. Bill Sterner officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
