Thomas "Tommy" W. Thompson, 49 passed away suddenly on Sunday January 22, 2017. A 1985 graduate of Kenmore High School, Tom was a plumber by trade. He never tired of talking about his trade, which was his passion.
Tom was also an avid sports fan of all the Cleveland teams, was an amateur drummer and enjoyed all kinds of music, with Metallica being his favorite. He taught himself how to play the electric guitar as well.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, William and Barbara Thompson; he is survived by his wife, Cathy (Magazzeni); son, Cory (Christina) Thompson; step-daughters, Ashley and Autumn; granddaughters, Madison "Munchkin" and Valerie "Baby"; sisters, Debi (David) Rebovich, Laura (Ken Capps) Hykes, Wendy (Donnie) Wallace, Patti (Mike) Denham; brother, Billy Diehl and many nieces and nephews. Tom will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held at the home he shared with his wife at 1189 Carey Ave in Kenmore on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 12-6 p.m. Parking can be found at nearby Park United Methodist Church.
