Thong Senevoravong of Akron, 74, passed away September 29, 2021 at Akron General Hospital.
Immigrating to the U.S. in the early 80’s, she found home for her family in Columbus, Ohio, eventually moving to Akron.
Having a great sense of humor she would quote the movie “Friday” on a daily basis, “yeah, hook it up!”.
She was a strong believer in the value of family and orchestrated regular impromptu gatherings. Thong is remembered as a lover of life, an advocate for peace, and force feeding her family.
Thong is survived by her children Long, Kym, Sang, and Samone. Her grandchildren Morissa, Shanobi, Miyen, Julian, Xavier, Mikayla, Alivia, Tyson, Eddie, and Aaryanah and lastly her great grandchildren, Javair and Ayvie.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Khammone, and her grandson Isaiah.
Thong's family will be having calling hours on October 6, 2021 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron from 5:00-8:00 PM.
