Wanda R Pierson

NORTON — Wanda Ruth Pierson, passed away, Sunday, January 27th at the age of 91.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Paul and survived by her sons: Bob of Macclenny FL, Larry (Denise) of Lake Township and Dennis of Norton, brother Jack Baker of San Diego CA, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and one great great granddaughter

Wanda Ruth Baker was born on March 13, 1928, grew up in Akron and graduated from East High School. She worked at B&W for over 25 years as manager of HR in the Power Generation Group. Always knowledgeable on a variety of topics, she brought well grounded knowledge to her career and family. High energy was her trademark. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends, providing home cooked meals and excelled at baking for many years. Though greatly missed in this life, the family is grateful for the full life bestowed upon her.

The memorial service will be 11a.m., TODAY, January 29, 2019, at the Columbia United Church of Christ, 978 Wooster Road W., Barberton, Ohio, 44203, where Wanda was an active member for over 60 years. Friends may gather one hour before the service, Pastor John Henniger officiating. Entombment will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church in Wanda’s honor.
