William (Bill) Leslie Hodge, 58, passed away on Tuesday, October 15th from a heart-attack. He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Joanne Hodge (Leslie), his father, William Vernon Hodge, and his younger brother, James Curtis Hodge. He is survived by his youngest Brother, Steven Wayne Hodge as well as other family and friends.
Billy loved hiking the Cuyahoga Valley and the Akron Metro Parks Hiking Sprees. He did every hiking spree since 2004, proudly displaying all the finisher shields he earned on his hiking staff. He also loved the occasional way-to-long bike ride on the Towpath Trail.
He loved hard rock and metal music, but also Celtic music. He had a huge collection of CD’s and saw many bands from the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s. He also attended many a Celtic Festival, seeing Celtic Woman often.
He “loved” working on his two 80’s Dodge Daytona’s and 91 Shadow over the years, refusing to give up on them. Recently, he wanted something nicer and bought a near mint 88 Daytona.
He had a great absurd sense of humor. He was a proud conservative Republican and Trump supporter. Most of all, he loved his family, and friends and his little dog, Booty Rat. You could always count on him to have your back.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024 at the Schlup-Pucak & Wilson Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd, Akron. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday October 25, 2024 at the Funeral Home with Pastor Dwayne Ray officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
