William M Lancaster

William "Bill" M. Lancaster, 89, of Akron went home to be with the Lord, June 6, 2017. William lived most of his life in the Akron area and attended Kenmore High School. He played baseball in his younger years and later coached Kenmore youth baseball. He was principally employed at Seiberling tires and later Ohio Edison. William trusted Jesus Christ and his savior. He was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple where the member's showed great kindness to himself and his surviving son, Robert. Showing great kindness to William were also his past neighbors, Doug and Rachel Jones. Preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Frederica (Zeller) Lancaster; beloved wife, Marilyn (George); son, William "Billy" and sister, Martha Boland. Friends may call from 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd Akron. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Knight officiating. Inurnment will take place 11 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2017 at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
