Yvonne D Stanley

Yvonne Denise Stanley of Akron, Ohio departed this life to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 8, 2021. She was born August 23, 1961, in Akron, Ohio the daughter of Joseph N. Stanley and Lucille Childers. Yvonne graduated from South High School and worked for Smithers Medical, and the Weaver Workshop. She accepted Christ as her personal Lord and savior more than 10 years ago and was recently baptized. She was a member of Vision Outreach Ministries where she resided in Columbus, Ohio.

Yvonne met Jimmy Dale Coleman (Deceased) 36 years ago and born one child, Kevin Jamaal Stanley. Yvonne was a loving and caring mother to her family, and a strong independent feisty woman at times. But still, she was a tender loving individual and believed in strong family values. She was a fighter despite her condition, she never gave up! She loved her son so much and cherish every moment that she spent with him in this lifetime.

Yvonne enjoyed music by Al Green, Betty Wright, Teddy Pendergrass, Mary Mary, and The Clark Sisters. She enjoyed TV shows such as Western Flicks, and her favorite colors were lime green and blue. One of her most memorable vacation spots was in the Bahamas.

Although Yvonne was bedridden, she was still able to enjoy being with her family, watching church services on television / live stream and most of all, learning about the word of God.

Yvonne leaves to mourn her son, Kevin Stanley and (Felix Bushner) of Columbus, Ohio; three sisters Darlene Craig and (Robert “Bob” Craig (Deceased) Akron, Ohio and Roberta Brown and (Nathaniel Brown (Deceased) Akron, Ohio, Beverly Acey (Deceased) Akron, Ohio and, one brother Stephen Stanley Akron, Ohio along with a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents Joseph N. Stanley and Lucille Childers.

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Schlup Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd Akron with Pastor Tony Fleisher officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service time. Burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery.

Romans 14:8

If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord.

So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
